How To Use Your Smoke Bundle
Holding your smoke bundle downwards on a 45 degree angle, light the end and let it burn well for a few seconds. I like using a candle or match instead of a lighter but either is fine. You want the burn to be slow and take your time. Once the bundle is lit, blow on the embers to create the magic glow. When you have a steady stream of smoke, allow the smoke to envelop you.. you can use a cupped hand or feather to pull and fan the smoke to your body and over your being. Next, walk, move or dance around the space and disperse the smoke focusing on the corners of the room.. get primal, close your eyes, feel the edges of your heart space and you will notice where stale energies have accumulated.. You can also speak out loud any incantation or manifestation mantra you may have on your heart. Once you've covered the space or self, open a window or a door and let the old energy leave the room. When your purification practice is complete, place the bundle on a dish or heat proof surface and allow the embers to slowly fade by themselves, being mindful and safe. Practice feeling into the energy of the room, space and self and notice when it changes. Some places will need more than one round of smoke cleansing and that’s ok. Intention is everything... hold your intention in your mind whilst moving through your practice and as it evolves you will begin to refine it and come up with your own routine that feels best for you.
